Box Score 2 OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's volleyball senior Emilee Ceroy (Davidsonville, Md./South River) totaled two kills in the opener against Hood before adding a career-high 10 digs versus Lycoming as the Mustangs extended their winning streak to 12 with victories over the Blazers and Warriors Saturday at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
Stevenson (28-2, 8-0 MAC), who extended its home winning streak to 19, won both games in straight sets, beating Hood 25-7, 25-5, 25-14 before taking down Lycoming, 26-15, 25-9, 25-14.
With the wins, the Mustangs remained undefeated in the Commonwealth Conference, two games ahead of Elizabethtown and Messiah who both sit in a tie for second-place with 5-1 conference records.
The two wins also gave sixth-year head coach Dave Trumbo 150 for his career.
Ceroy, who entered the Hood game with two career kills, totaled two against the Blazers (6-14, 0-5 MAC) in six attempts while posting a .667 hitting percentage. She also added six digs and now has 256 for her career.
Sophomore Megan Miller (Middletown, Del./St. Georges Tech) led the team with six kills to go along with three service aces while junior Christine Isenberg (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key), senior Kristen Lubeski (Bishopville, Md./Stephen Decatur) and senior Avery Gabbard (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) each had five kills.
Junior Jenna Campbell (Brookeville, Md./Good Counsel) had a team-high seven digs while Ceroy and sophomore Samantha Perillo (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) had six each.
Freshman Imani Hudson (Burke, Va./Thomas Edison), junior Stacey Rex (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) and freshman Kelly McKenzie (Nanticoke, Md./James Bennett) all had four kills while freshman Kara Anderson (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) had four digs.
Freshman Caitlin Roy (Middletown, Md./Middletown) had three service aces and three digs and junior Jessica Gieselman (Wesminster, Md./Winters Mill) had 34 assists.
Hudson and Miller led the Mustangs offensively versus Lycoming (18-6, 3-4 MAC) as both totaled a game-high nine kills. Hudson also added seven digs while Miller had three total blocks.
Lubeski added eight more kills and Isenberg had seven while totaling 13 digs. Perillo totaled a game-high 15 digs while Ceroy had 10. Gieselman totaled 33 assists, two service aces and seven digs.
With 67 assists on the afternoon, Gieselman now has 1,086 this season, surpassing her previous career-high of 1,077 set a year ago. She also has 3,003 for her career, becoming the first player in school history to surpass 3,000.
Stevenson wraps-up its 2012 regular-season home schedule on Wednesday when it hosts Elizabethtown at Owings Mills Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Senior Night. Prior to the game, the Mustangs will honor its three seniors, Lubeski, Ceroy and Gabbard.
