Box Score YORK, Pa. - Stevenson men's basketball freshman Jason Jones (Baltimore, Md./St. Francis) scored a team-high 11 points, but the Mustangs were limited to a season-low 46 points, including 22 in the second half as they suffered their fifth-straight road loss, 59-46 at York (Pa.) Wednesday at Charles Wolf Gymnasium.
Stevenson (4-12, 1-6 CAC) fell to 2-2 this season when holding an opponent under 60 points. It also marked the just the third time that the Spartans were held under 60.
The Mustangs trailed by just one, 13-12 with 9:29 remaining in the first half, following a lay-up by junior Andrew Bishop (Lothian, Md./Southern).
However, a 13-3 run gave York (10-7, 5-3 CAC) an 11-point lead at 26-15 with 4:20 to play.
The Spartans led 32-24 at the half before stretching their advantage to as many as 14 with 13:30 left in the second.
Jones totaled seven of his 11 points in the second half, but Stevenson was just 8-for-25 from the floor and 4-of-8 from the free throw line while being outscored 27-22.
Senior Greg Collins (Baltimore, Md./Western Tech) finished with eight points while Bishop and junior Brett Burrier (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) each had seven.
Led by 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from Paul Kouvaris, York scored 38 of its 59 points in the paint. Todd Maciejewski totaled his second career double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds and was 7-for-10 from the floor.
