ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Stevenson field hockey junior Kaitlyn May (Arnold/Archbishop Spalding) tied a career-high with two goals and four points, but Elizabethtown scored the game's final three goals, including two in the last six minutes, to break a 2-2 tie en route to a 5-2 victory Tuesday at Wolf Field.

The loss marked the second in as many road games this season for the Mustangs (2-3) who are halfway through a four-game road trip.

May scored the game's first goal just eight minutes into the contest when she knocked in a loose ball in front before the Blue Jays answered with two goals over the next six minutes to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Taylor Alwine scored her first goal of the season at 12:45 before Kathleen Minerva added her first at 19:04. Five different players scored for Elizabethtown, four of which who netted their first of the season.

May scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season off an assist from sophomore Leigh Willing (Princess Anne/Holly Grove Christian) to start the second half and tie the game at 2-2, but two goal off of penalty corners by Nadine Yunginger and Jackie Zylka, both assisted by Alwine, put the Blue Jays back in front for good.

Elizabethtown (2-2) capped the scoring with just 25 seconds remaining when Yunginger assisted Kaylee Wener on her first goal of the season.

Sophomore Kelsi Zimmerman (Odenton/Arundel) kept the Mustangs in the game after by making a career-high 10 saves, including six in the first half.

Lindy Hamp finished with three saves for the Blue Jays while Alwine had four points and Yunginger had three.

Stevenson continues travels to No. 9 Lynchburg this Saturday, September 17. Game time is at 2:00 p.m.
