TOWSON, Md. - Stevenson men's basketball senior Greg Collins (Baltimore/Western Tech) totaled his third career double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, but Washington (Md.) posted an 81-62 victory over the Mustangs in the fifth-place game of the Pride of Maryland Championship Saturday at Goucher's Decker Sports & Recreation Center.

The Mustangs (1-2) trailed by just three at the half, but were 6-for-23 from the floor in the second half while Sal Schittino scored 17 points to lead the Shoremen who outscored them, 44-28.

Collins also earned Pride of Maryland All-Tournament Team honors in 2009 after he also totaled a double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds versus Goucher in the same gymnasium.

Washington (2-1), who scored 32 points off of 24 Stevenson turnovers, led 44-42 with 16:26 remaining in the second half before using a 25-4 run over the next 7:30 to take a 23-point advantage at 69-46 with 8:56 to play.

Sophomore Stefon McCray (Milton, Fla./Archbishop Curley) finished with 14 points, two shy of his career-high set versus NYU Poly on Jan. 8, 2011, while adding six rebounds. In three games in the tournament, he averaged 11.7 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Junior Brett Burrier (Westminster/Winters Mill) had seven points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Jason Jones (Baltimore/St. Francis) also had seven points, all in the first half.

As a team, the Mustangs outrebounded Washington, 48-29.

Kevin Breslin scored a game-high 22 points for the Shoremen, 18 of which came in the first half, wile Schittino finished with 20. Mark DeBoy added 12 points.

Stevenson makes its home debut on Tuesday, November 22 versus future MAC rival Elizabethtown. Game time is at 7:00 p.m.
