Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's volleyball sophomore Christine Isenberg (Taneytown/Francis Scott Key) totaled 10 kills and 18 digs as the Mustangs won a CAC contest with York (Pa.) Wednesday at Owings Mills Gymnasium, 25-20, 25-22 19-25, 25-15.
Stevenson (22-2, 4-1 CAC) won its 10th-straight game overall and fifth at home to maintain its hold on second place in the CAC standings. The Mustangs are tied with Frostburg State, but own the tiebreaker over the Bobcats by virtue of their 3-0 win at home on October 4.
Freshman Megan Miller (Middletown, Del./St. Georges Tech) had 13 kills, six digs and three total blocks while reigning CAC Player of the Week, sophomore Jessica Gieselman (Westminster/Winters Mill), totaled six kills, 39 assists and 14 digs.
Tonight's game featured 18 ties and eight lead changes as Stevenson compiled a season-high 101 digs and improved its record in four-set contests to 4-1 this season.
Freshman Samantha Perillo (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) totaled a career and team-high 32 digs while senior Amy Rudolph (North East/Rising Sun) added a season-high 10.
Junior Avery Gabbard (Arnold/Broadneck) had 10 kills and now has 870 for her career.
Heather Bucher led the Spartans (10-10, 2-4 CAC) with 16 kills and 16 digs. Julie Coombs had eight kills and 25 digs and Cortni Rentzel totaled 33 assists and 15 digs.
The Mustangs travel to Lebanon Valley on Saturday for a tri-match with the Dutchmen and Muhlenberg beginning at noon.
