OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Tyler Snoots totaled 22 points and 22 rebounds while Hood held the Stevenson men's basketball team to it lowest point total of the season, including a season-low 16 points in the first half, as the Blazers avenged a loss at Owings Mills Gymnasium earlier this season with a 76-53 victory Wednesday.

The Mustangs (4-9, 1-4 CAC), who handed Hood a 65-64 loss at home in the third place game of the Pride of Maryland Championship on November 20, made just 6-of-24 attempts from the floor in the first half for 25.0 percent.

The Blazers (7-5, 3-2 CAC) held a 35-16 halftime lead after going 13-for-26 from the field in the opening half and holding a 24-9 advantage in rebounds.

For the game, Hood outrebounded the Mustangs 53-31 and attempted 39 free throws of which the team made 26. Stevenson was also just 4-of-20 from three-point range.

Nine of Snoots' 22 rebounds were offensive and he was 7-of-15 from the floor and 8-of-14 from the free throw line. Cameron Cook added 15 points and six rebounds while Justin Stone had eight points and seven rebounds.

Despite going 5-of-14 from the floor, sophomore Brett Burrier (Westminster/Winters Mill) led the Mustangs with 15 points, nine of which came in the second half. Senior Greg Woody (Baltimore/Mount St. Joseph) had 10 points.

Sophomore Andrew Bishop (Lothian/Southern) totaled a team-high eight rebounds and freshman Stefon McCray (Baltimore/Archbishop Curley) had six points and six rebounds.

Stevenson returns to action on Saturday when it hosts a non-conference contest with Polytechnic (N.Y.) beginning at 4:00 p.m.
