Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Salisbury's Katie McGahagan totaled 14 points and 25 rebounds and the Stevenson women's basketball team was just 1-of-10 from the floor in overtime as the Sea Gulls posted a 68-60 victory over Stevenson Wednesday at Owings Mills Gymnasium in the CAC opener for both teams.
Wednesday's game featured 13 ties and 17 lead changes, the last of which came with 4:12 remaining in overtime when McGahagan scored the first of five-straight points to give the Sea Gulls (2-2, 1-0 CAC) a 60-55 lead.
Led by six points and six rebounds from McGahagan, Salisbury outscored the Mustangs 14-6 in the overtime as Stevenson scored four of its six points from the free throw line where the team was 4-of-5.
Senior JaQuelia Conley (Columbia/Montrose Christian) led the Mustangs (0-4, 0-1 CAC) with 13 points and was one of three players in double figures.
Junior Kristen Steiner (Forest Hill/Fallston) had 12 points and 10 rebounds for her first double double of the season while posting her third-straight game with at least 10 rebounds. She also blocked three shots and had two steals.
Sophomore Rayshell Parker (Hanover/Meade) had nine points and a team-high 12 rebounds, three shy of her career-high when she had 11 points and 15 rebounds at Wesley on Jan. 18, 2010.
Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, December 1 when it travels to Fredericksburg, Virginia for a CAC contest at Mary Washington. Game time is at 6:00 p.m.
