OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's basketball junior Daniela Poss (Brookeville/Good Counsel) scored a career-high 18 points, 11 of which came in the first half as the Mustangs built an 11-point halftime lead, but Arcadia outscored them 43-21 in the second hald en route to a 56-45 victory Monday in the first game in Owings Mills Gymnasium.

Stevenson (0-1) shot just 22.2 percent from the floor in the second half while committing 20 turnovers which led to 22 points for the Knights.

Poss finished 7-for-17 from the field and just missed her first career double double as she also added a career-high nine rebounds.

Poss led three players in double figures as senior JaQuelia Conley (Columbia/Montrose Christian) had 11 points and sophomore Sam Murray (Reisterstown/St. Paul's) tied her career-high with 10.

The Mustangs led by as many as 13 in the first half after holding Arcadia to just 3-of-25 shooting, including 1-of-9 from three-point range.

However, the Knights (1-0) opened the second half with a 14-2 run over the first 7:27 to take their first lead since the 17:00 mark of the first half.

Arcadia scored 19 of the game' next 25 points to increase its lead to 14 with 7:11 remaining.

Jackie Law totaled nine points and five rebounds in the second half to lead the Knights who picked up their first road win in the last 10 games. She finished the game with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, grabbing at least 10 boards for the 20th time in 26 career games.

Corrine Geiger and Angie Adams also had 11 points each with Geiger adding nine rebounds.

Stevenson travels to Gwynedd-Mercy Friday at Saturday for the Residence Inn Tip-Off Tournament where it play the host Griffins Friday at 8:00 p.m.
