STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson women's basketball junior forward Kristen Steiner (Fallston/Fallston) totaled 12 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists while head coach Chris Ramer picked up win No. 100 for his career as the Mustangs downed Salisbury Wednesday night at Student Union Gymnasium, 55-53.

The win was the fourth in the last seven for Stevenson (5-10, 3-5 CAC) who also picked up its first win in five all-time meetings against Salisbury.

The game was the second in-a-row for the Mustangs to come down to the wire after they lost Monday's game at Wesley by just one point in overtime. Wednesday's game featured eight ties and three lead changes, the last of which came after Janay Johnson tied the game at 53-53 with two free throws with 1:02 remaining.

Junior guard JaQuelia Conley (Columbia/Montrose Christian) would hit the game-winner on a jumper with 35 seconds left after a key offensive rebound by freshman forward Rayshell Parker (Fort Meade/Meade) gave Stevenson a second chance.

The Mustangs' leading scorer at 13.3 points per game this season, Conley led the team in scoring for the 10th time this season and for the eighth time in the last 11 games with a game-high 13 points.

Sophomore guard Amanda Craig (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) finished the game with nine points and six assists while Parker had seven points and six rebounds.

Kylie Hall posted a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Sea Gulls (5-10, 2-6 CAC) who lost their ninth-straight. Glen Charlton also had 10 points while Johnson finished with nine points and nine rebounds.

Stevenson travels to Hood on Saturday for a CAC contest at Fort Detrick's Odom Fitness Center in Frederick. Fans are encouraged to click here for important policies and procedures regarding entry into Fort Detrick.
