YORK, Pa. - The number 13 was lucky for the Stevenson women's basketball team Saturday night as the trio of junior guard JaQuelia Conley (Columbia/Montrose Christian), junior forward Kristen Steiner (Fallston/Fallston) and sophomore guard Amanda Craig (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) led the Mustangs to a 73-65 CAC road victory at York (Pa.) inside Charles Wolf Gymnasium.

Conley, Steiner and Craig combined for 48 points, 20 rebounds, 11 steals and seven assists for Stevenson (4-9, 2-4 CAC) who had lost its previous 12 meetings with the Spartans. The win was also the 99th in the career of head coach Chris Ramer.

Saturday marked the third time in the last five games that Conley has scored at least 23 points as she finished with a game-high 24 to go along with six rebounds and five steals. Steiner just missed her third double double of the season with 11 points and nine rebounds while Craig tied her season-high for the third time with 13 points. Craig also added five rebounds and four steals.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the game's first 2:31 and never trailed. They would extend their advantage to 11, 20-9 with 11:43 remaining in the opening half, and held that lead into halftime, 39-28.

Conley totaled 12 points and five rebounds in the first half while Steiner had nine points and six rebounds as Stevenson held York to just 31.0 percent shooting from the floor.

The Mustangs led by as many as 13 in the second half and following a jumper by Craig with 12:30 remaining, held an 11-point advantage, 53-42.

However, the Spartans used an 8-0 run to cut the lead to three with 10:33 to play, but Stevenson went 8-of-15 from the free throw line in the final 10 minutes, including 5-of-8 in the last 5:46 to keep York at bay.

April Sparkman led the Spartans (7-7, 3-3 CAC) with 21 points, 11 of which came from the free throw line where she was 11-of-12. Khadija Mitchell added 16 points.

Stevenson will look for its fourth win in the last six games when its heads to Wesley on Monday for a CAC contest beginning at 6:00 p.m.
