Box score

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Stevenson University women's basketball team made just one field goal attempt and scored only 10 points in the second half as it concluded the 2008-09 season with a 60-26 loss at Mary Washington Saturday at Goolrick Gymnasium.

The Mustangs (6-19, 4-12 CAC) trailed by just 10 at halftime, 26-16, after holding the Eagles to its fourth-lowest first half point total of the season.

Stevenson also held Mary Washington to its lowest point total in a victory this year, but could not overcome a 1-for-20 performance from the floor in the second half where it went 8-for-12 from the free throw line.

The Eagles (20-5, 12-4 CAC) scored 24 points off of 27 Mustang turnovers and scored 22 points off the bench, led by 13 from Ashley Warhurst.

Warhurst was one of three players in double figures for Mary Washington, including Katie Wimmer who was held to just 11 after totaling a season-high 24 points at Stevenson on January 24. Jenna McRae added 10.

In her final collegiate game, Mustang senior guard Tara Galvin (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) had five points in 27 minutes while making one three-pointer to finish her career second on the school's all-time list with 136.

Senior guard Ashley Burrell (Baltimore/Institute of Notre Dame) added two points and two rebounds in her final contest.
