LANCASTER, Pa. - Stevenson women's volleyball

her second All-Tournament Team selection this season after totaling
41 kills and 13 total blocks, both team-highs, while posting a .329
hitting percentage to lead the Mustangs at the F&M Scramble.
Mercer was one of the few bright spots for Stevenson (7-11) who
lost their fifth-straight and seventh out of the last eight.
After losing in three sets to Cabrini on Friday night, the
Mustangs were also swept by host Franklin & Marshall,
25-18, 30-28, 25-21 before dropping a five-set, come-from-behind
decision to Lebanon Valley, 25-12, 20-25, 11-25, 25-13, 15-9.
Mercer totaled 12 of the team's 29 kills versus Franklin &
Marshall (16-3) who were led by 11 each from Nicole Morano and
Kelly Rom.
Stevenson totaled 58 digs, led by 14 from freshman Avery
Gabbard (Arnold/Broadneck) who also had seven kills, but
the team could not overcome its 33 total errors and .126 hitting
percentage.
Sophomore Amy Rudolph (North East/Rising Sun)
added 27 assists and 12 digs while sophomore Alexa Carney
(Towson/Towson) had 10 digs.
The Mustangs fared much better against Lebanon Valley (18-1) who
has lost just once in 19 games this season as they posted a
season-best .240 hitting percentage. Gabbard and Mercer combined
for 30 of the team's 45 kills with a career-high16 coming from
Gabbard.
Gabbard also added a team-high 12 digs for her sixth double
double of the season while junior Dani Katsampis (New
Windsor/Francis Scott Key) had seven kills and 10 digs.
Rudolph and Carney each had 12 digs as well and Mercer had
seven total blocks.
Stevenson returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to Hood
for a CAC contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
