LANCASTER, Pa. - Playing in front of a raucous
crowd, Stevenson University women's volleyball senior Alana
Eller (Ellicott City/Centennial) led the Mustangs to their
ninth consecutive win Thursday night, 3-0 over Lancaster Bible at
the Horst Athletic Center.
The win was also the 16th-straight regular season win for
Stevenson (9-0) dating back to last year's 3-0 win over Lincoln on
Oct. 13, 2007 at St. Mary's (Md.).
Eller totaled nine kills and five digs while hitting .316 with
two assists, one service ace and one block assist. Sophomore
Alex Mercer (Eldersburg/Liberty) added six kills
and three total blocks while junior Brittany Umetin (Havre
de Grace/Mt. Zion) had nine assists to go along with two
kills and five digs.
Senior Julie Olson (Spofford, NH/Keene) totaled
a team-high digs and freshman Jen Glock
(Westminster/Westminster) posted a .429 hitting percentage
with three kills and two block assists.
Stevenson looks to add to its win streak on Saturday with its
second home quad match this season. The Mustangs take on
Manhattanville at 10:00 a.m., followed by Goucher and a
non-conference contest with CAC foe Marymount (Va.).
