The Mustangs snatched two wins from Goucher and Rutgers-Camden
to increase their record to 6-1.
In the first match versus Goucher, the Mustangs won 3-0 (30-22,
30-28, 30-24). Brittany Umetin (Havre de Grace, MD/Mt.
Zion) led the team with 25 set assists, while
Alana Eller (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) led
with 15 digs.
The Mustangs also won the second match versus Rutgers-Camden 3-0
(30-9, 30-16, 30-18). Katie Benham (Rising Sun, MD/Rising
Sun) had five kills and five digs. Julie Olson
(Spofford, NH/Keene) and Bridget Forney
(Leonardtown, MD/Leonardtown) also contributed six digs
each.
The Mustangs return to home court on September 12 at 7 p.m. versus
Gallaudet University.
