The Mustangs traveled to cross-town rival The College of Notre
Dame and came home victorious 3-0 (30-13, 30-19, 30-16).
Junior setter Brittany Umetin (Havre de Grace,
MD/Mt. Zion) was incredible once agin as she tallied 29 set
assists, 2 kills, and 3 defensive digs, but the star of the night
was junior libero Julie Olson (Spofford,
NH/Keene).
With the Mustangs losing 18-13 in the second game,
Olson served 15 consecutive points which included
5 aces. She tallied 7 aces on the night overall. Junior
outside hitter Alana Eller (Ellicott City,
MD/Centennial) was fantastic as well as she recorded 12 kills, 14
digs, and hit .521.
Villa is back in action on Saturday as they participate in the
Goucher College Invitational.
