into overtime delivered York College a 3-2 come-from-behind win
over Villa Julie (3-6) in Capital Athletic Conference field hockey
action on Wednesday. The Spartans (5-5) tied the game with 1:47
remaining in regulation on a penalty stroke to send the game into
the extra period.
Kristina Leventis (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore
Lutheran) opened the scoring early giving Villa Julie a 1-0 lead.
She deflected the shot into the goal off of a penalty corner by
Leigh Geary (Elkton, MD/Elkton). The field was
tilted towards the Villa Julie net for the majority of the second

Villa's Kaitlin Brzozowski (Bel Air, MD/ Fallston)
to cut Villa's lead in half. A busy Brzozowski turned away 28 York
shots in the game and made 12 saves.
With the loss, Villa drops to 3-6 (0-2 CAC) on the season, while
York improves to 5-5 (2-2 CAC). The Mustangs return to action on
Saturday at the University of Mary Washington.
