- The Mustangs traveled to Philadelphia Biblical to take charge
in their conference tri-match Saturday afternoon. Villa beat
Philadelphia Biblical 3-2 and SUNY-Purchase 3-0.
Game 1: Marisa Bender (Hagerstown, MD / South
Hagerstown) had 15 kills and Julie Olson
(Spofford, MH / Keene) had 21 digs to lead the Mustangs to
victory. The game scores were Villa 30-25, 31-29, 12-30,
24-30, and 15-11.
Game 2: Katie Benham (Rising Sun, MD / Rising Sun)
and Marisa Bender (Hagerstown, MD / South
Hagerstown) both had seven kills and Carol Moore
(Catonsville, MD / Arlington Baptist) had five kills that led the
Mustangs to a landslide win over Purchase. The game scores
were Villa 30-11, 30-18, 30-18.
With the wins, Villa Julie is now 18-8 overall and 9-1 in the
NEAC. The Mustangs return to the court on Friday, October 27,
to take on Goucher.
