#6 Salisbury's Megan Powell rolled up a first half hat-trick to beat the VJC field hockey team in Capital Athletic Conference action Wednesday afternoon. Powell's first goal at 18:07 stood as the game-winner.

Beverly Beladino got Salisbury on the board at 4:03.  Her goal sparked an eight goal run on the Villa Julie cage. Beladino finished the game with two goals and an assist. 

Megan Melvin (Elkton, MD / Elkton) finally got Villa Julie on the board at 53:11 making good on one of Villa Julie's two shots on the game. Salisbury dominated play by firing 48 shots on Kait Brzozowski (Bel Air, MD / Fallston). Brzozowski stopped 21 shots in the game, making 12 second-half saves. 

With the loss Villa Julie falls to 5-10 (1-5 CAC) and Salisbury improved its record to 12-13 (4-1 CAC). Villa returns to action on Saturday against Lebanon Valley.
