M.C. McFadden was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director and Head Strength and Conditioning coach in August, 2017.  She is a veteran of over 20 years in the Stevenson athletic department.

McFadden served as assistant strength and conditioning coach since the beginning of the 2015-16 academic year before her promotion.  She worked with virtually all of Stevenson’s 27 varsity athletic programs, working closely with the men’s and women’s basketball, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming and men’s and women’s tennis teams.

Additionally, McFadden serves as a lacrosse commentator on the Mustang Sports Network, handling color commentary duties for women’s lacrosse games and sideline reporting duties for men’s lacrosse broadcasts.

McFadden is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and certified as a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting.

McFadden began her Stevenson career as head coach of the women’s lacrosse program from 1997-2002, compiling a 44-40 record in six seasons, including an 11-3 mark in 1998.  Following her coaching career, she began training and conditioning student-athletes for various programs. She also oversaw the scheduling and coordinating of game officials.

She was elected to the Baltimore chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2004.

McFadden earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree for Health and Physical Education from the University of Richmond. At Richmond she was a member of both varsity lacrosse and field hockey teams. In her junior and senior years she served as captain for both teams.

McFadden and her husband Mickey have two children, Caitlyn and Mickie. Caitlyn is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse team that won the National Championship in 2010. Caitlyn, the current assistant coach for the Terrapins, is the 2010 Tewaaraton Award winner and two-time ACC Player of the Year. Mickie, a 2017 Stevenson graduate, currently is a graphic designer in California.
