LEWISBURG, Pa. - The regionally-ranked (2nd in Mideast) Stevenson women's track and field team put in another solid performance at the Bison Open & Multi, hosted by Bucknell. Freshman Rachel Panek, who competed in the pentathlon on Friday, qualified for ECAC's in the 60m hurdles and set a school record in the event with a 9.48 (2nd place). Panek, who finished fourth overall in the pentathlon with 2511 points, took first in the 800 with a 2:36.43 and second in the high jump with a height of 1.45m.
Sophomore Kimberly Hammond earned a spot into ECAC's with an 8.03 in the 60m dash finals. Hammond finished sixth overall in the event.
Hammond was also part of the 4x400m relay team of sophomore Dyonne Hicks, freshman Allison Krahe and freshman Ryley Hinson who qualified for ECAC's with a combined time of 4:08.29 (adjusted from 4:11.58 due to track size). The group took fifth overall in the event.
The Mustangs compete next at the Susquehanna University Challenge on February 3.
