Mustangs Defeat Harford CC on Senior Day, 6-3

STEVENSON, Md. - In its final tune-up before the MAC Semifinals, the Stevenson women's tennis team defeated Harford Community College by a 6-3 score on Senior Day at the Greenspring Courts.

Since this match was against a two-year school, it does not count toward the Mustangs' record or statistics. 

Senior Kirstyn Davidson and sophomore Megan Waskiewicz cruised to an 8-2 win in No. 2 doubles, giving the Mustangs their lone doubles win. The duo ends the regular season with a record of 9-7. 

The Mustangs would then take five of the six singles matches.

Davidson won her No. 2 match by an 8-4 score, while Waskiewicz took her No. 3 match by the same 8-4 margin. Davidson finished the season with a singles record of 11-8.

Junior Nina Bretz won her No. 4 match by an 8-4 score. Freshman Jacquelyn Nesbeth took her No. 5 match by an 8-6 score. 

Senior Christina Endy took down her No. 6 opponent by an 8-6 margin. 

The Mustangs (8-6, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) will compete as the No. 3 seed at No. 2 Alvernia in the MAC Commonwealth Semifinals on Wednesday, May 1 at 3:30 p.m.
