Women's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Match to Stockton, 8-1

GALLOWAY, N.J. - The Stevenson women's tennis team fell in its non-conference match to host Stockton, 8-1. The lone victory for the Mustangs (0-3, 0-0) came from junior Kirstyn Davidson, who overcame a one-set deficit to take her No. 2 singles match in three sets, 6-7 (7-4), 6-2, 10-6. The win was Davidson's first of the season in singles.

Sophomores Jenna Skove and Kelsi Mentzer started the day with a hard-fought loss in No. 1 doubles, falling by an 8-6 score.

Skove would later drop her No. 1 singles match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, while Mentzer would lose her No. 3 match, 6-0, 6-4. 

Freshman Megan Waskiewicz took the first set of her No. 5 singles match to a tiebreak, but would eventually fall in straight sets. 

The Mustangs continue their fall season on Saturday, September 30 when they begin play in the two-day Goucher Invitational.
