Mustang Women Wrap Up Diamond City Invitational

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Stevenson women's swimming team ended the Diamond City Invitational sitting at 11th place with 221 points. Senior Melanie Milam took home two bronzes in the 200 and 400-yard individual medley.

Milam wrapped up her individual races for the weekend in the 200-yard backstroke (2:20.83), capping the meet with three top-10 finishes. Teammate Bailey Hurt swam her way to 24th place in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:30.62.

Zoe Pflieger and Emily Mata each contirbuted in the 100-yard freestyle, Pflieger touching 32nd (1:06.29) and Mata touching 36th (1:10.71).

Emily Wolff earned herself her first top-15 finish of the meet. She finished 14th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:46.26).

To end session three and the final day of the invite, relay squad of Milam, Wolff, Mata, and Pflieger took home their fourth 11th place in the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:19.74).

For the invitational, the Mustangs had two top-3 finishes, two top-10 finishes, and five top-15 finishes.

The Mustangs return to action Saturday, December 7 as they travel to Lebanon Valley for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
