YORK, Pa. - Sophomore Melanie Milam and junior Julianna Burnett set school records in the 200 Back and Breaststroke on the fourth and final day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, held at the Graham Aquatic Center.
Milam took third-place overall, earning All-MAC Third Team honors, with a school-record time of 2:06.97 in the 200-Yard Backstroke. Junior Colby Stein finished fourth overall in the final with a collegiate personal-best time of 2:10.52.
Burnett clocked a new program-record time of 2:29.51 in the 200-Yard Breaststroke, giving her third place in the event and a spot on the All-MAC Third Team.
Junior Isabelle Ramsland swam a 2:14.27 in the 200 Fly preliminaries, which gave her the fourth-best qualifying time for the final. Ramsland would better that time with a season-best 2:12.73 in the final to take third overall.
Sophomore Julia Charen clocked a 19:19.43 in the 1650 to take 15th overall in the event.
To close out the championship meet, Stein, Burnett, Ramsland and Milam swam a combined 3:45.55 in the 400 Free Relay, giving them seventh-place overall.
The Mustangs finished the meet sixth overall out of 12 teams with 312 points. Messiah won its fifth-straight MAC team title with 619.5 points.
