Women's Swimming Takes Second in 200 Medley Relay on Day One of MAC Championships

YORK, Pa. - The Stevenson women's swimming team kicked off the four-day Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships, held at the Graham Aquatic Center, with a second-place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay.

Juniors Colby Stein, Julianna Burnett, Isabelle Ramsland and sophomore Melanie Milam finished with a season-best time of 1:49.14. Messiah took first in the event with a time of 1:46.93. With the second-place finish, the group earned All-MAC Second Team honors. 

In the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay, junior Natalie Wasicko, sophomores Bailey Hurt and Julia Charen, and freshman Megan Taylor combined to finish eighth overall in the event with a time of 8:42.23. Widener touched the wall first with a time of 7:52.00.

Through two events, the Mustangs are sixth overall out of 12 schools with 56 points. Messiah leads the field with 70. 

The second session begins on Friday, February 16 at 10:00 am. The third session takes place at 6:00 pm.
