Burnett, Ramsland Lead Mustangs to Victory in Dual Meet Against Gallaudet

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson women's swimming team picked up its third dual meet win of the year in a triumph over Gallaudet, 154-95. Juniors Isabelle Ramsland and Julianna Burnett picked up three individual victories apiece in the win. 

Burnett picked up her first win in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:08.90. Sophomore Bailey Hurt finished just behind Burnett and in second with a 2:11.81. 

Burnett followed that up with a victory in the 50 Free, touching the wall in 25.94. Junior Natalie Wasicko clocked a 26.99 to take second, while sophomore Julia Charen finished third in 27.73. 

Burnett's third win came in the 100 IM where she finished with a time of 1:05.24. Stein came in second with a 1:08.00.

Ramsland's first win came in the 50 Back where she touched the wall in 30.92. Junior Lindsey Weishaar took second with a 31.63. 

In the 100 Free, Ramsland picked up the win with a time of 57.51. Stein touched the wall second in 58.83. 

Ramsland would also win the 500 Free in 5:37.13.

Charen picked up two victories in the 1000 Free and 50 Fly with times of 11:57.42 and 32.24. 

Stein picked up a win the 100 Fly (1:07.21), while Hurt took first in the 100 Back with a 1:07.25. 

In the 200 Medley Relay, Weishaar, freshman Megan Taylor, Wasicko and Hurt took first overall with a combined time of 2:05.69. To close out the meet, Burnett, Ramsland, Taylor and Wasicko combined to win the 200 Free Relay in 1:49.7.

Stevenson competes in its final tune-up before the MAC Championships in a dual meet at Arcadia on Saturday, January 27 at 11:00 am.
