Oppenheimer Earns Second Career Victory at Gettysburg Fall Invite

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Sophomore Casey Oppenheimer earned her second-career victory after carding a two-over par 73 in the final round of the Gettysburg Fall Invitational, held at the Hanover Country Club. Oppenheimer, who tied the school record with her second round score, finished three strokes ahead of York's Jordan Koller and Yupha Muzyka of Alvernia with a total score of 151 (+9). The Mustangs, who carded a combined score of 315 in the second round, finished tied for first with York (Pa.) with a total score of 636. York would, however, win the tiebreaker due to their fifth golfer having the lower score in the second round.

Junior Laura Rentz picked up fifth place overall after finishing the tournament with a combined score of 156 (+14). Rentz has two top 5's on the year.

Sophomore Amanda Perez improved on her opening round score by six strokes with a 78, giving her 10th place overall. Perez has finished in the top 10 in each of her four tournaments this season.

Senior Julia Kline shot an 83 in the final round, a one stroke improvement from the opening round, to complete the team score for Stevenson.

Junior Emma VanDeCar finished 24th overall with a total score of 176 (+34).

The Mustangs will look to continue their stellar play at the two-day Randolph-Macon Invitational, held at the Belmont Golf Club, starting on Saturday, September 28.
