Women's Golf Sets Program Record to Win Ursinus Fall Invite, Perez Ties School Mark with 73

POTTSTOWN, Pa. - The Stevenson women's golf team shot a program-record score of 306 (+22) to take first overall at the Ursinus Fall Invitational, held at the Raven's Claw Golf Club. Stevenson's previous best (311) came at last year's MAC Championship. The Mustangs, who have won two consecutive tournaments, finished 38 strokes ahead of second-place East Stroudsburg. The Mustangs had four players finish in the top six.

Sophomore Amanda Perez tied the program record and set a new personal best with a 73 (+2), giving her second place overall. Perez has taken second place in each of the last two tournaments, and now has 11 top-five finishes for her career. 

Sophomore Casey Oppenheimer matched her season-low score with a 77 (+6) to finish tied for fourth.

Junior Elise Glauser and senior Julia Kline both carded 78's (+7) to finish tied for sixth. Glauser's score of 78 is a career best. 

Freshman Holly Haber shot a 90 to open up her collegiate career. 

Yupha Muzyka of Alvernia finished at even par to take the individual title.

The Mustangs compete next at the two-day Gettysburg Fall Invitational, held at the Hanover Country Club, starting on Saturday, September 21.
