Mustangs Finish 18th at NCAA Championships

HOUSTON, Texas - The Stevenson women's golf team finished 18th out of 25 schools at the NCAA Division III Golf Championships, held at the Bay Oaks Country Club. The Mustangs finished with a three-day total of 1008. Only the top 15 teams after three rounds advanced to the final day.

Sophomore Emma VanDeCar carded an 86 on the final day of the tournament for Stevenson, giving her a three-day total of 242 (+26).

Sophomore Laura Rentz, who also shot an 86 on the day, finished with a total score of 252 (+36). Rentz ends the year with three wins and seven top-5 finishes.

Freshman Amanda Perez notched her lowest score of the tournament (84), giving her a total mark of 254 (+38). Perez finishes her freshman campaign with two first-place and nine top-5 finishes.

Junior Julia Kline improved on her second round score by seven strokes with an 82, while sophomore Elise Glauser carded a 91 on the day. Kline ends her season with one victory (MAC Individual Championship) and seven top-10 finishes. 

Emily Salamy of Rhodes College is in first place after three rounds (+7), while Williams College leads the team standings by eight strokes (+51).

The Mustangs end the season having won five tournaments, including the program's third MAC Championship.
