FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Freshman Amanda Perez carded a 77 for the second time in as many days, giving her fourth overall at the Shenandoah Greene Turtle Invitational, held at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. Perez's score matches her previous personal best set in the opening round of the tournament.
The Mustangs finished second overall in the team standings with a two-day score of 631 (+63), which was just nine strokes back of team champion York (Pa.). All four of Stevenson's players finished in the top 10.
Sophomore Emma VanDeCar shot a personal-best score of 77, placing her into a tie for fifth overall. VanDeCar had set a personal-best in the opening round of the tournament with a 79.
Sophomore Elise Glauser finished eighth overall with a two-day score of 159 (+17), while sophomore Laura Rentz carded a personal-best score of 78 for a two-day total of 162. Rentz finished 10th overall on the leaderboard.
Jordan Koller of York (Pa.) won the individual title by one stroke with a two-day score of 151 (+9).
Stevenson tees off next at the Alvernia Invitational, held at the LedgeRock Golf Club, on Tuesday, October 9.
