Perez Shoots Personal-Best 77, Tied for Second After First Round of Greene Turtle Invite

FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Stevenson women's golf freshman Amanda Perez carded a personal-best 77 (+6) and is currently tied for second after the opening round of the Shenandoah Greene Turtle Invitational, held at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. 

The Mustangs are currently second overall in the team standings with a score of 319, and are just four strokes back of first-place York (Pa.). 

Sophomore's Elise Glauser and Emma VanDeCar both fired personal-best scores of 79 are currently tied for sixth on the leaderboard. 

Sophomore Laura Rentz carded an 84 to round out the team score. 

Shelby Tapman of York (Pa.) leads the field by two strokes after carding a 75 to open up the tournament. 

The second and final day of the tournament takes place on Sunday, October 7.
