Watson Takes Fourth at Mount St. Mary's 5K Duals

EMMITTSBURG, Md. - Senior Patrick Watson opened up his final collegiate campaign with a 5k time of 15:40.91, which gave him fourth place overall out of 87 Division I and III athletes, at the Mount St. Mary's 5k Duals. The Mustangs, who are ranked sixth in the USTFCCCA Mideast Region preseason rankings, finished seventh in the team standings with a score of 165.

Senior Nikita Kulick clocked a solid time of 16:24.51 to take 32nd place, while senior Iddriss Iddriss clocked a 16:47.68 to open up the year.

Freshmen Samuel Iseman and Johnathan Womack opened up their collegiate careers with times of 17:13.27 and 17:59.22.

Sophomores Anders Chattin and Taylor Farnsworth turned in times of 18:39.14 and 18:47.96 for the Mustangs.

Andrew King of Hopkins won the individual title with a time of 15:31.93, while his school took the team title with a team score of 24.

The Mustangs compete next when they host the Shannon Henretty Invitational, held on the Greenspring Campus Course, on Saturday, September 7 at 11:30 a.m.
