Landon Shorts Selected As A MAC Senior Scholar Athlete

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The two-time Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Player of the Year, Stevenson men's volleyball senior Landon Shorts was selected as the MAC Senior Scholar Athlete for Men's Volleyball as announced by the league office on Thursday morning. 

The MAC honors a senior from all eleven spring sports (baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, and men's volleyball) who excel both on the field of competition and inside the classroom.  

Shorts who expected to graduate this May with his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration currently holds a 3.60 GPA has also made the Stevenson University Dean's List each semester.  On the court, he dominated leading the Mustangs to a 30-4 season and paced the team in kills (352), digs (228), and aces (80).  He also set the NCAA All-Division Service Aces record against Widener with career aces number 256.

Since the MAC started sponsoring men's volleyball last season (2018), Shorts has been named to the All-Conference First Team twice and this season was also tabbed as a First Team All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
