LANCASTER, Pa. - The Stevenson men's track and field team qualified for the ECAC Indoor Championships in three events at the Coach I Open, hosted by Franklin & Marshall. Junior Kendall Belser qualified for ECAC's in the 200m dash with a time 22.83, which gave him first overall in event.
Junior Matt Riggins clocked a 7.07 in the 60m dash finals to earn second overall and a spot into the ECAC's. Davis, who also qualified for ECAC's, clocked a 7.12 in the prelims and a 7.15 in the finals to take fifth overall.
Freshman Dimeon Wright took first in the long jump with a personal-record leap of 7.04 meters, while senior Curtis McInnis tossed a personal-best throw of 14.50 in the weight throw to take first overall. Freshman Luca Pagni had a personal-best throw of 12.72 to take third in the event.
The Mustangs picked up another first-place finish in the 4x400m relay where the Stevenson "B" team clocked a 3.32.51.
Freshman Sean Dodson finished second in the 400m dash with a personal-best time of 52.30, while freshmen Clement Onyebadi and Ritchie Case finished tied for third in the high jump with leaps of 1.80 meters. Onyebadi also took sixth in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 12.86 meters.
Junior Anthony Mercoli clocked a 2:08.68 in the 800m run to take seventh overall.
The Mustangs compete next at the two-day Bison Open & Multi starting on Friday, January 26th at 4:00 pm.
