Men's Tennis Selected Favorite in Projected Tight MAC Commonwealth Race

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Stevenson University men's tennis team was picked as a narrow favorite in the MAC Commonwealth preseason poll released Monday morning.  The Mustangs earned 45 points and three first-place votes to edge defending conference champion Messiah, which earned three first-place votes and garnered 43 points.  Lebanon Valley picked up a pair of first-place nods and was slotted third with 41 points.

Stevenson finished 14-7 overall and 6-1 in the MAC Commonwealth last season to finish second behind Messiah before bowing out in the conference semifinals to Lebanon Valley. The Mustangs won both of their dual matches during the fall portion of the schedule.

Stevenson opens its spring March 9 with a home contest against Lancaster Bible.
