Kratzer Takes Sixth on Day One of Diamond City Invitational

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Stevenson men's swimming team traveled to the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center on Saturday for the Diamond City Invitational. The men's swimming team competed in the first session at 10 a.m. and the second session beginning at 5 p.m. The Mustang men currently sit in 11th place with 35 points at the end of day one.

The men opened session one participating in an exhibition 200-yard free relay, Brian Brown and Stephen Kratzer swam a 1:38.94.

Brian Brown swam his way to 34th place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:44.47.

Kasif Hardy capped the first session in the 50-yard freestyle (40.90).

To start session two for the Mustangs, Kratzer gets his hand on the wall sixth in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.82, earning the Mustangs 24 points.

Kratzer came back in the 200-yard freestyle to take 17th place in 1:57.79. Temmate Brown took 23rd place in 2:07.48, respectively. 

Stevenson is back in action for the second and final day of the Diamond City Invitational on Sunday, November 24 at 10 a.m.
