Wilkes Barre, Pa. - The Stevenson men's swimming team traveled to King's College (Pa.) Saturday afternoon for a dual meet at the Scandlon Pool. The Mustangs fell to the Monarchs 132-44.
Junior, Brian Brown led the Mustangs by taking home a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle by getting his hand on the wall at 11:49.99. He later collected a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle swimming to a 28.64.
Senior, Stephen Kratzer edged out his competition by .06 in the 200-yard Individual Medley swimming a season-best 2:17.11, taking second-place. He later collected a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke swimming a 2:19.80. For Kratzer's final race of the day, he took fourth-place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:45.98).
Junior, Matt Miloszar collected a second, third, and fourth place finish for the Mustangs. In the 500-yard freestyle (6:41.37), 200-yard backstroke (2:49.88), and the 100-yard butterfly (1:14.23).
Sophomore, Kashif Hardy collected three fourth-place finishes for the Mustangs in the 200-yard freestyle (3:56.69), 50-yard freestyle (45.91), and 100-yard freestyle (1:49.97), respectively.
Stevenson relay team of Kratzer, Brown, Miloszar, and Hardy swam the exhibition 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:02.97.
The Mustangs return to action on Saturday, November 23 for a two-day meet at Diamond City Invitational held at the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center starting at 10 am.
