OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson men's soccer senior DR Medtart, junior Tariq Lee, and sophomore Matt Stellitano were all selected to the 2019 CoSIDA Division III Academic All-District II announced on Thursday. It is the second consecutive selection for Medtart and Lee.
The 2019 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic AllAmerica® honorees will be announced in early December.
Medtart, who has a 4.0 in criminal justice, set the program record with his 76th career start. He ranks tied for fourth on the team with eight points on three goals and two assists. A 2019 All-MAC Commonwealth First Team selection, Medtart is the only player to start all 21 games this season.
Lee, who has a 3.83 in computer information systems, ranks third on the team with 11 points and four goals. His three assists ranks tied for second. A 2019 All-MAC Commonwealth First Team selection, Lee has three game-winning goals this season.
Stelittano, who has a 4.00 in cybersecurity and digital forensics, posted an 11-6-3 record this season with seven solo shutouts and two shared shutouts. He has the school record with 13.5 shutouts. A 2019 All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention selection, Stellitano posted a 1.07 goals against average and a 80.0 save percentage.
