Jacob Caffrey Earns Fourth MAC Defensive Player of the Week

ANNVILLE, Pa. - For the fourth time this season and second time in the last three weeks, Stevenson men's ice hockey senior Jacob Caffrey was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Week announced by the league on Monday.

It is the sixth overall player of the week honor for Caffrey who has also been named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Goaltender of the Week twice.

Caffrey stopped 30-of-32 shots for his 11th victory of the season in a 5-2 win over Neumann. The senior stopped the final 20 shots faced after Neumann netted its second goal early in the second period. The senior has had at least 30 saves, 13 times this season, including in five consecutive games.

Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, February 24 when the Mustangs host a UCHC semifinal versus the highest remaining seed after Wednesday's quarterfinals. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
