Ford Cards 72, Finishes Tied for Third at Alvernia Fall Invitational

MOHNTON, Pa. - Sophomore Will Ford shot an even-par 72 to finish tied for third at the Alvernia Fall Invitational, held at the Ledgerock Golf Club. Ford, who played as an individual, now has to two top-five finishes on the year.

Senior Wynn Geis, who also played as individual, shot a nine-over par 81 to finish tied for 16th. 

Freshman Lenny Lenahan finished the day with an 83 to finish tied for 26th, while freshman Frank Sallese carded an 86 for the Mustangs. 

Freshmen Joshua Brauer and Ronak Patel shot scores of 87 and 89, respectively.

Andrew Cornish of Penn State-Berks won the individual title after shooting a three-under par 69, while his school was the top DIII team with a score of 306 (+18).

The Mustangs compete next at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational, held at the Hanover Country Club, on Tuesday, October 8 at 12:30 p.m.
