Maione Cards Season-Low 74, Mustangs Finish Eighth at Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Senior Matthew Maione carded a season-low score of 74 (+2) in the final round of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic, held at The Bridges Golf Club. Maione finished the tournament at +9, placing him into a tie for 26th overall. The Mustangs improved by three strokes in the second round with a team score of 306, putting them in eighth place overall.

Senior Matthew Shur carded a 77 (+5) in the final round for a two-day total of 153, placing him into a tie for 26th with Maione.

Sophomore Shane Angle improved on his opening round score by a stroke with a 76, giving him a two-day score of 154 (+10).

Senior Tyler Slusarczyk finished the tournament at +11 after shooting a 79 in the second round, while freshman Will Ford matched his first round score with a 79. 

Kevin Keane of McDaniel won the individual title with a two-day score of 146 (+2). McDaniel would also take the team title with a total score of 593 (+17).

The Mustangs compete next at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational, held at the Hanover Country Club, on Tuesday, October 8th at 12:30 p.m.
