OWINGS MILLS, Md.– A new feature, Mustang Rewind, launched on the Stevenson University Athletics Roku channel on Monday, January 9, that will feature full rebroadcasts of classic games from a variety of Mustang sports. The series kicks off with the Stevenson football teams' 29-7 win over Bethany in the 2014 ECAC Division III Southeast Bowl, the first postseason game in program history.
Mustang Rewind will only be available on the Stevenson University Athletics Roku channel. In order to install the Stevenson Roku channel, visit www.gomustangsports.com/roku or search for Stevenson University Athletics in the Roku Channel Store.
Launched in November, the Stevenson University Athletics Roku channel is the first to be launched by an NCAA Division III program. It features live game broadcasts from the 16 sports currently produced by the Mustang Sports Network. In addition, the channel features game highlights, coaches shows, features, postgame interviews and more from all 27 of Stevenson's intercollegiate varsity programs.
All programming, including live games and Mustang Rewind, is available free of charge, and no subscription is necessary.
The Stevenson Athletics Roku channel is available in the Roku Channel Store in the sports category, alongside such popular channels as WatchESPN, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, MLB.tv, the NFL and the NHL. There are currently approximately 230 channels in the sports category on Roku.
As of June, 2016, the Roku OS powered TV streaming for over 10 million monthly active accounts. Roku customers streamed 4 billion hours of video and music in the first six months of 2016, compared to 5.5 billion hours in all of 2015. Roku streaming players and Roku TV models are available in 10 countries through direct retail sales and licensing agreements with TV OEMs and service operators.
