Mustangs Make First Postseason Appearance, Host Bethany in ECAC Southeast Bowl

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - In just its fourth season of competition, the Stevenson football team will be making its first-ever postseason appearance as the Mustangs were selected to host the ECAC Southeast Bowl on Saturday, November 22 at Mustang Stadium against Bethany. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.

For the second-straight season, Stevenson (7-3) set a new school record for wins in a season, finishing fourth in the Middle Atlantic Conference. The Mustangs are 3-1 at home this year and have won six of the last 10 over the last two seasons.

Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams and the first for Stevenson against a team from the President's Athletic Conference.

The Bison (6-4) earned the team's first postseason trip since 1980 when they advanced to the NCAA Division III Football Championship. The team opened the season with wins in five of its first six contests and became bowl eligible with a 34-9 win over Grove City on November 1.

Tickets will be $7.00 and available at the stadium the day of the game. Gates will open at 12:30 p.m.

Those planning on attending need to be aware that there is an admissions open house in Owings Mills Gymnasium as well as the Hoopsville National Invitational Classic. Fans should plan on arriving early to to accomodate increased traffic and the need for extra parking.
