Winklbauer Places Seventh Overall at Season-Opening Mustang Stampede

STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson women's cross country junior Kelly Winklbauer opened up the season with a 4-kilometer time (2.49 miles) of 15:09.83 and a seventh-place finish at the Mustang Stampede, held on the Greenspring Campus course. The host Mustangs finished third in the team standings with a score of 70, while Johns Hopkins took the team title with a score of 15.

Achol Odolla opened up her sophomore campaign with a time of 16:17.82, which gave her 25th overall. Freshman Emily Gates started off her collegiate career with a 4k time of 16:30.64. 

Freshmen Allison Krahe and Chloe O'Hara crossed the finish line with times of 17:17.53 and 17:48.99, respectively.

Juniors Kayla Bias and Mary Sam finished back-to-back with times of 18:15.53 and 18:15.56. 

Felicia Koerner of Hopkins took first overall with a 14:23.03.

The Mustangs continue their season on Friday, September 8 when they host the Shannon Henretty Invitational. The race is set to begin at 5:00 pm on the Greenspring Campus course.
