Bias Leads Mustangs to Eighth Place at MAC Championships

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Stevenson women's cross country sophomore Kayla Bias ran a 6k time of 25:20.9, which earned her 33rd place overall at the Middle Atlantic Cross Country Championships, hosted by Messiah. The Mustangs finished eighth out of 16 schools with a score of 262. 

Freshman Achol Odolla, who clocked a 25:42.7, was the second Stevenson runner to cross the finish line. 

Freshman Anasseh Holt made her MAC Championship debut with a time of 27:11.2, while sophomore Mary Sam crossed the line in 27:19.2. 

Senior Claudia Lohr finished 1.5 seconds back of Sam with a 27:19.2 to complete the team score for the Mustangs. 

Sophomore Maria Beleos ran a 28:21.7 for Stevenson.

Veronica Wheeler of DeSales won the individual conference title with a time of 22:21.8, while her school won its first MAC Championship in program history. 

The Mustangs will have next week off before competing in the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship, hosted by DeSales, on Saturday, November 12.
