Bias Leads Mustangs to Sixth at Bill Fritz Invite

GLASSBORO, N.J. - Stevenson women's cross country sophomore Kayla Bias ran a season-best 6k time of 25:39.68 and finished 40th overall, which led the Mustangs to sixth place out of 17 schools at the Bill Fritz Invitational, hosted by Rowan University. Stevenson finished with a team score of 226.

Freshman Achol Odolla clocked a personal-best time of 26:01.08, while freshman Anasseh Holt crossed the line in 26:40.16. 

Sophomore Mary Sam ran a 26:51.49 and senior Claudia Lohr completed the team score for the Mustangs with a time of 27:38.52. 

Sophomore Maria Beleos ran a 31:25.75 for the Mustangs. 

Sherri Metcalfe of New Paltz St. took first overall with a time of 22:59.57, which was less five seconds faster than Dianne Ferraro of host Rowan who ran a 23:04.04.

New Paltz St. took the team title with 34 points. 

Stevenson runs next at the Don Cathcart Invitational, hosted by Salisbury, on Saturday, October 1 at 9:45 am.
