Winklbauer Leads Mustangs to Second Place at Baltimore Metro Meet

STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson women's cross country sophomore Kelly Winklbauer opened up her season with a 4k time of 15:42.8 in leading the host Mustangs to a second place finish out of five schools at the Baltimore Metro Meet held on the Greenspring Course. Winklbauer finished 12th place overall. 

Sophomore Kayla Bias, who clocked a 17:09.7 to finish 26th overall, was the second Stevenson runner to cross the line. 

Freshmen Achol Odolla and Anasseh Holt opened up their collegiate careers with solid times of 17:13.7 and 17:42.7, respectively.

Completing the team score for the Mustangs was sophomore Mary Sam who crossed the line in 17:59.5. 

Senior Claudia Lohr clocked a 18:22.7, while freshman Dyonne Hicks ran a 19:57.1, respectively. 

Felicia Koerner of Hopkins, who ran a 14:37.4, was the first runner to cross the line. Hopkins also took first overall in the team standings with 15 points. 

Stevenson competes next when it hosts the Shannon Henretty Invitational on Saturday, September 10 at 11:30 a.m.
