Women's Volleyball to Host NCAA Regional Starting Friday

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team has been selected as one of eight regional hosts in the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship and will host the eight-team Owings Mills Regional beginning Friday, November 10 at Owings Mills Gymnasium.

The Mustangs (32-1) are making their seventh straight NCAA appearance after winning their sixth straight MAC Commonwealth championship on Saturday.  Stevenson will face Hunter (27-4), the champions of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) on Friday at 8:00 pm.

Other first round matchups include Randolph-Macon (23-6) taking on Swarthmore (21-7) at 12:30 pm, Carnegie Mellon (29-4) facing Eastern (20-12) at 3:00 pm, and Johns Hopkins (24-3) battling Kean (28-10) at 5:30 pm.

Semifinals are set for 3:30 and 6:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, while the regional final is set for Sunday at 2:00 pm.  The eight regional winners advance to Grand Rapids, Michigan for next weekend's national quarterfinals.

Ticket prices each day are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and seniors and $3.00 for children under 12 years old.  Children under 2 are admitted free.
