ANNVILLE, Pa. – Senior Annika Schwartz of the Stevenson University women's volleyball team was selected as the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after leading the Mustangs to a 5-0 week.
Schwartz finished the week with 55 kills, 61 digs, eight service aces and five blocks and was named to the All-Tournament Team of Muhlenberg's Buttermaker Tournament. She finished the week with a pair of double-doubles. Schwartz tallied 15 kills and 16 digs in a 3-2 win over Muhlenberg in which the Mustangs rallied from a 2-0 deficit. She also had 11 kills, 20 digs and five aces in a 3-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan. In Wednesday's conference opener against Messiah, Schwartz notched 12 kills and hit .423.
The Stevenson women's volleyball team, 9-0 overall, returns to action Wednesday at Marymount (Va.) for a 7:00 contest.
