Panek Sets School Mark in 100m Hurdles at Widener Invite

CHESTER, Pa. - Freshman Rachel Panek set a new school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.87 seconds at the Widener Invitational, eclipsing her previous mark of 15.90 (Mondschein Multi - 4/12-13). Panek's time is currently fifth best in the MAC.

Panek also took sixth in the 400m hurdles with a 1:05.94, while placing eighth in the high jump with a height of 1.50m.

Sophomore Achol Odolla clocked a season-best time of 12:06.52 in the 3000m Steeplechase, giving her third overall in the event (4th in MAC). 

Sophomore Kimberly Hammond set a personal best in the 200 with a 26.37, which is currently the third-fastest time in the conference. Hammond also ran a season-best time of 12.87 (4th in MAC) in the 100. 

Junior Allison Bishop placed seventh in the hammer throw with a distance of 41.84m.

Junior Kelly Winklbauer ran a season-best time of 4:55.16 in the 1500. 

The Mustangs compete next at the Penn Relays, which begin on Thursday, April 26. This meet is Stevenson's final tune-up before the MAC Championships.
